Did you know that the YMCA raises funds annually to provide scholarships for those who cannot afford YMCA programs? In 2009 the YMCA helped over 550 families with over $160,000 in scholarships for membership, childcare, camp, swim lessons and youth sports. 

At the YMCA, one of our most important goals has always been to enrich the lives of kids in our community. But when some are left out, it leaves us all a bit poorer.

That's because giving kids a safe and nurturing place to go benefits everyone. By introducing them to experiences that will help them grow into responsible, successful adults, we make the community we love a better place to live. One child at a time. One family at a time.

YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring, honesty, responsibility and respect. Through a variety of fun and rewarding activities, they also develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem. You simply can't put a price on strengthening and enriching the character of a child.

Your contribution helps make it happen.

Membership and program fees at the Rogue Valley Family YMCA do not cover all the costs to support these vital community programs. To ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because of inability to pay, we truly need your help.

Through the YMCA Campaign, your contribution helps us provide program support and financial assistance to families who need it in our community. Only by working together can we give more kids the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body.

The 2010 Strong Communities Campaign is launched with an ambitious goal of raising $100,000. We ask that you please give generously so that more kids and families in our community can share the YMCA experience.

Your Gift of $10/month builds self-confidence by providing swim lessons and safety programs for 6 children in our community.

Your Gift of $25/month makes it possible for two children to attend summer camp, with life-enriching activities such as canoeing, archery and campfire.

Your Gift of $50/month allows one team of kids to learn skills, sportsmanship and teamwork through participation in YMCA Youth Super Sports.

Your Gift of $100/month enables one child to attend a YMCA after-school program for a year, a chance to make new friends and strengthen values.

Your Gift of $250/month enables 25 youth or 10 families a one-year YMCA membership.

Financial assistance is based on ability to pay. It is the policy of the Rogue Valley Family YMCA that no person is denied membership or program participation by reason of inability to pay fees. Funds made available for financial assistance are provided through the United Way and the YMCA's Annual Campaign.
