August 8 – 26, Hours: Monday thru Friday – 7:30am – 6:00pm

Our day camp provides a safe, nurturing, and fun environment to engage the interests of all age groups. Our day camp is non-stop and our activities reinforce our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. At the YMCA, we create an exciting and safe environment for kids to have an unforgettable summer of fun. They will spend the summer making friends, trying new things, and developing interpersonal skills. The activities that we engage campers in are hands-on and educational, but we add in a ton of fun and silliness.

A week of Day Camp Includes:

  • Low counselor to camer ratio for individualized attention (1:10)
  • Developmentally appropriate thematic activities, such as cooking projects, science experiments, outdoor living skills, arts & crafts, and more
  • Field trips and special guests
  • Swim days at the YMCA facility
  • Traditional camp games, sports, skits and songs
  • Breakfast & Lunch provided by the USDA Summer Foods Program (available to all) and an afternoon snack provided by the YMCA

We work to spend the majority of time outside and weekly field trips will be to outdoor locations, COVID-19 restrictions and wildfire smoke permitting. Each week campers will be assigned a “cabin” with their own counselor to guide them through the weeks themed activities. Our unique program allows campers to work with their fellow cabin mates and camp counselor to design and shape their day.

To make sure that your camper is properly prepared for each day, they should come dressed for the weather, ready to get dirty, and with a backpack filled with the YMCA’s Required 5: Lunch, Water Bottle, Sunscreen, Swimsuit, and Towel. We work with Sodexo and the USDA Summer Foods Program to provide free lunches as an option for families, available for any income level.

Overnight Rafting Camp 3-day

Rogue Valley
8/10/22 - 8/12/22

When you live in the Rogue Valley you should get the opportunity to experience the Rogue River. Campers paddle down river with plenty of opportunities for swimming. Campers must be comfortable in and on the water. All campers and staff will be required to wear their life jacket at all times in and on the water and YMCA lifeguards oversee the entire trip.

We will be departing at Cole River Fish Hatchery and floating for 3 days down to Tou Velle State Park. We will stop the first night at Rogue Elk Park and the second night just below Dodge Bridge. Group camping equipment is provided by the YMCA, you just need to pack your personal gear (a packing list provided one week before the camp), eat a complete breakfast before arriving, and bring a lunch for the first day. All other food will be provided by the YMCA. Each night will be a memorable experience as we setup our camp site, cook our meals, and finish the evening with a campfire along the river. Campers will experience the Rogue River like never before and learn some cool stuff along the way.
